Blakeney McGee is a self-taught abstract artist based in Houston, Texas, creating original paintings with acrylics and oil pastels. Growing up in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, it was love at first sight with abstract art at 18 years old when the family she babysat for were avid art collectors. Blakeney turned that love into a painting hobby for many years which grew into a business in 2021, shortly after she moved to the Houston area with her husband and three teenage children. Her work has been featured by several designers including Oyster Creek Studios, Lindsey Herod Interiors, Amy Kummer Interiors and Vision & Hammer. Find her at Blue Hills in Round Top, Texas with the Love Pretty Things popup each fall, winter and spring show.
